Day of the LongBoat

September 29-30, 2018

This signature UBC event takes place on the shores of Jericho Beach with over 3,000 people paddling in the largest voyageur canoe race in the world. Your team races in either just-for-fun or competitive heats to the finish line. You can also enjoy games at the Day of the LongBoat festival, and the facilities at the Jericho Sailing Centre. Register by September 17 to secure your spot!

September 10-16, 2018

Free fitness and aqua fitness classes are running all week and there are numerous open houses with free activities and giveaways. You won’t want to miss out! Intramural leagues offer unique opportunities to have fun, be active, and make friends on campus. Join UBC Thunderbirds Sport Clubs

The UBC Thunderbirds Sport Clubs (UBC TSC) are Athletics and Recreation’s newest competitive option for UBC student athletes. Launched in September 2015, UBC TSC currently features eleven sports and thirteen teams which include: Alpine Skiing, Cycling, Equestrian, Men’s Lacrosse, Nordic Ski, Quidditch, Sailing, Synchronized Swimming, Tennis, Triathlon, and Ultimate Sport Clubs. Check out the online listing of teams to learn more!

Aqua Fitness Programs

Hydro Board Fitness is a specialized Aquacize class performed on floating Stand-Up Boards/Mats. Participants will work through a number of different routines while maintaining balance on Hydro Boards and constantly working their core. Student Tennis Programs

Wide Variety of Discounted Options for Students

Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time, if you played tennis before, or if you are looking for court bookings – there is a student-oriented program for everyone! All UBC students receive discounted programs on all tennis levels including clinics, drills, and leagues.
