Welcome to the Indigenous Wellbeing Series

The Indigenous Wellbeing Series is live! This monthly event series for Indigenous students, staff, and faculty will offer holistic and culturally relevant ways to make time for wellness. Student wellness is key to student success in meeting personal, career, and academic goals. The Indigenous Wellbeing Series is organized by UBC Rec and the Wellness Centre. 

Previous Events

Tuesday, Nov 16th at 12pm – All My Relations Meditation (30 min.) 

A guided mindfulness practice and prayer meditation to align our breath, mind, body, and spirit.

Participants must pre-register below to receive the zoom link. The class will also be streamed in the Dojo of the Student Recreation Centre. If you are coming to watch the stream in person, please remember your BC Vaccine Card and government-issued ID! 

Thursday, Nov 18th at 12pm – Flowing with Creation Yoga (45 min.) 

A slow, gentle vinyasa yoga practice and moving meditation to support balance and creativity. 

Participants must pre-register below to receive the zoom link. The class will also be streamed in the Dojo of the Student Recreation Centre. If you are coming to watch the stream in person, please remember your BC Vaccine Card and government-issued ID! 

Join us for the first event of this series - the Kick-Off Wellbeing Walking Tour! This tour will be led by the Indigenous Student Ambassadors and is a chance to explore various parts of the beautiful campus with a hot drink in hand!

The event will be held on September 24th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. The meeting place will be a coffee shop on campus so that folks can get a warm beverage prior to the walk. More information about the meeting place to come soon.
