Alannah Shaffer

Bio

Alannah became a Pole Dance Instructor in 2006 and became a BCRPA Group Fitness Leader in 2008. She have training in pre-/postnatal fitness and became a Canfitpro Personal Training Specialist in 2013. I have taught Pole Dancing, Bootcamp, Cardio Kickbox, Sculpt, Spin and other group fitness classes. I completed 100 hours of Vinyasa Teacher Training in May 2011 (with Nicki Doane) and an additional 200 hours of Vinyasa Teacher Training in January 2013 (with Tiffany Cruikshank). Alannah have also taken workshops with Janet Stone, Tiffany Cruikshank and Nicki Doane and began teaching yoga in 2012.

Alannah taught the Sunday evening Vinyasa Yoga during the summer term for UBC Rec and teach Restorative and Apocalypse Yoga at Ron Zalko Fitness and also teach Community Yoga at lululemon on West 4th and Robson St.
She have been practicing yoga since 2003 and have become more dedicated to my practice since 2008. Alannah started with Bikram Yoga, but love finding a fluid flow and allowing my breath to take my focus in a Vinyasa class.

Alannah believe in living a life of balance.

Qualifications

Alannah has taught a variety of group fitness classes since 2006 and is a BCRPA Group Fitness Leader, Canfitpro Personal Training Specialist and has taken over 300 hours of Yoga Alliance recognized Yoga Teacher Training. Alannah focuses on providing a safe, encouraging and FUN environment for her participants by challenging them with humour and compassion. She firmly believes that everyBODY is different and her goal is to ensure everyone honours what their body is asking for in that moment, and feels strong and supported in whatever choice they make.
