UBC Intramurals is committed to being a complementary aspect of the university experience and will continue to balance staff expectations and the expectations of being a university student.
By checking "I understand" you are acknowledging that in order to accept and retain your position as a UBC Intramural Volunteer Student Staff member, you have accepted the following conditions:
1. You are in good academic standing with the University of British Columbia, defined as:
• Maintaining a passing (>50.0%) average each semester (including the current session; and
• Maintaining a passing (>50.0%) cumulative average; or
• The minimum average as established by their awarding faculty.
2. That the Intramural Program Manager will have access to your student records, including grades, via the UBC Student Information System.
3. That the Intramural Program Manager will confirm your academic standing before formal confirmation of your position, after which you will be required to sign a contract.
Confirmations timelines will be as follows:
• April 2020 - 1920 Cumulative and Term 2 average.
• December 2020 - 1920 Term 1 average;
Important Note: All information accessed through the Student Information System (including grades) is considered and treated as sensitive personal information. Under no circumstance will any information accessed through the system be shared without prior discussion and authorization from the student.
