The UBC Tennis Centre is a public tennis facility and no membership is required to book a court. You can book a court up to 24 hours in advance for a standard booking. How to Book a Court
- You may book a court no more than 24 hours in advance (e.g. if you wish to book a court at 10:00AM on Monday, you cannot book prior to 10:00AM on the Sunday before).
- All bookings will occur in 1-hour or 2-hour fixed time slots that start at the beginning of each hour.
- Persons interested in court rentals will be required to book online using their new UBC Recreation login. In-person registration will not be available.
- All court fees must be paid in full at the time of the booking. Only credit (Visa or Mastercard) or debit payment is accepted at this time.
- Participants will check in with UBC Tennis Centre staff to verify their time slot and playing partner upon entering. For court 9 (outdoor court) and the bubble courts, please also check in at the Main Facility.
- When signing-in you will: be assigned a court number to play on and have the option to purchase a can of tennis balls at the sign-in desk. (Your court number may change from the time of booking).
- Once the sign-in is complete, participants are required to wait in the lobby until the previous group leaves the court.
- All court bookings (including Ace Court Booking Pass reservations) are non-refundable.
- For optimal experience with the new system, please use the Google Chrome browser when searching, registering or booking courts. Not all features may work as intended with other browsers.
- Ace Court Booking Card holders will be unable to use their Ace Court Booking Card when booking online. Please contact our Operations Desk at centre@ubc.ca or 604-822-2505 if you would like to use your Ace Court Booking Card for a booking.
Please Note:
- Only one court booking can be reserved by a player during a 24 hour window.
- A maximum of 4 players can be on a court at any given time.
- The Outdoor Court will be closed and court bookings will be cancelled if it is raining or there is standing water on the court. You will be contacted if it starts to rain prior to your booking and you will receive a credit for the cancelled booking.
- Court bookings may be moved after confirmation to a different court number to prevent schedule gaps and as required.
- Court availability is extremely limited on Mondays through Thursdays from 4pm-7pm as the entire facility is booked for youth and adult programming.
- If experiencing errors while booking a court, please follow the troubleshooting techniques. A possible error can occur when more than 5 clients are trying to book the same court at the same time.

Current court booking prices are listed below. To be eligible for discounted rates, please ensure you’ve read the instructions below.
- UBC Students should ensure they are logging in using their UBC Camps Wide Login and verifying their automated eligibility prior to booking.
- UNA or CSC eligibility must be verified prior to booking by sending an email photo or scan of the front & back of the UNA or CSC card for each individual. Send an email with attached photos/scans to recreation.help@ubc.ca.

1 UBC Students who have setup a login using their CWL are automatically eligible for discounted rates when booking online or through the phone/email.
Ace Court Booking Pass
The Ace Court Booking Pass provides pass holders the opportunity to make advanced bookings up to three days (72 hours) in advance. Only one advanced booking can be held at any given time, and all court bookings are final sale (no refunds). Please read the full terms and conditions prior to purchasing the pass.
Ace Court Booking pass holders can request court bookings via our online form here, by email or over the phone.
Additional benefits include:
- Ability to make one (1) advanced booking three (3) days prior (72 hours)
- 20% discount on all Adult Doubles Mixers
- 20% discount on all Adult Spring/Summer Camps
Please note: The Ace Court Booking Pass only grants you advanced access to book courts, but the full court booking fee still needs to be paid per booking as well.
