UBC Aquatic Centre Closed | Jan 10
The facility will be closed to the public Saturday, January 10, 2026 for staff training. We encourage guests of the UBC Aquatic Centre to check the UBC Aquatic Centre schedule prior to each visit for the most up-to-date information. The facility will return to our regular programming as of Sunday, January 11, 2026.
Thursdays Are Student Nights at the Aquatic Centre!
Starting Jan 15th, on Thursdays from 8:00 pm onwards, the Aquatic Centre hosts drop-in facility hours exclusively to UBC students! Whether you want to chill in the hot tub, relax in the sauna or play basketball in the leisure pool – do whatever floats your boat!

T-Birds Sweep Awards at Conference Championships!
Our UBC Thunderbirds won both conference team titles for the second year in a row and claimed every individual award across the three days of competition at the Canada West Championships!
Winter Break Reduced Hours & Closures
All UBC Recreation Sport Facilities will have adjusted hours from December 2025 to January 2026. We encourage guests to plan ahead when visiting our facilities.
Competition Pool Closure | Dec 5-7
The competition pool will be closed on Friday, December 5th through to Sunday, December 7th due to the 2025 VPSC Winter Invitational. Competition pool programming will be resumed on Monday, December 8th. Please check the schedule below for more information around programming.

The recreation is closed for the remainder of Wednesday, October 22 and will remain closed until Thursday, October 23, at 12:00 pm. Drop-in sessions scheduled for the recreation pool are also cancelled until then. Please refer to our schedule page for the latest updates.
