August 16, 2024 – As the summer draws to a close, we’re excited to share some significant updates on UBC Recreation North. We’re on track for an early 2025 opening, with construction moving at an impressive pace. Our team has been hard at work ensuring that every detail meets the high standards expected by our UBC community.
This summer, we’ve witnessed a remarkable transformation of the space from its initial stages to something truly spectacular. The interior is beginning to take shape, with key areas like the fitness centres, multipurpose rooms, gymnasiums, and the run, roll, walk track all coming together.
