All-call for Day of the LongBoat captains! This Wednesday is the deadline to submit your team roster for Day of the LongBoat.
Roster Submission Deadline: September 24 @ 5:00 PM
As a Team Captain, you are responsible for submitting your team’s roster online using the unique Team ID and Access Code provided in the email sent in your Captain’s Package. Please see the notes below to consider when putting in your rosters:
- Roster Composition: During the race, boats must have 8-10 participants. Your roster can include up to 12 (10 participants, 2 alternates). A full roster is recommended for last-minute changes or emergencies.
- Reminder to add yourself to the roster: Team captains are not automatically added to the roster. Please remember to add yourself.
- Required Information: You will need the student numbers and emails of your teammates when adding them to the roster. Please double-check all information for accuracy. Once added, teammates will receive an email with a link to sign the online waiver.
- Roster Rules: refer to race category rules on our website.
*For competitive teams, if you have not met the roster requirements by Wednesday, September 25, your team will not be eligible to advance on race weekend. Please ensure that everyone on your team has their ID on them at all times on race day, as you will need to check in at the registration table again if your team advances.
Waiver Submission Deadline: September 26 @ 11:59 PM
All participants must fill out an online waiver! Team members will not appear on your roster until an online waiver is signed. Waivers must be signed by Friday, September 26 @ 11:59 PM. Please relay this information to your teammates to avoid any miscommunication.
*Please note: Participants must sign a waiver before participating, failure to sign will render them ineligible to race. Students must be enrolled in classes and have paid their tuition to be eligible to participate. If a student on your team is having issues signing the waiver they can email recreation.help@ubc.ca to check there student eligibility.
Please submit your rosters by then, and be sure to inform your teammates to sign the waiver before race day!
