Summer Swim Lessons | Key Dates

From Sunday, July 19 to Saturday, July 25, we will be engaging in Water Safety Week, which is in line with the National Drowning Prevention Week as designated by the Lifesaving Society. Read below to see what programming will look like during this time period.

National Drowning Prevention Week | Jul 19-25

The Lifesaving Society designates the third week in July as National Drowning Prevention Week (NDPW) to focus community and media attention on the drowning problem and drowning prevention.

Safety Week | Jul 19-25

In line with NDPW, our lessons will have a primary focus on the safety skills required to complete all Swim for Life lessons. These safety skills will be taught through a variety of games and activities both on the pool deck and in the water.

As part of our commitment to drowning prevention, we look forward to continuing your child’s education in water safety. We ask that all students in Swimmer 2 and above please bring an extra set of clothes that can go in the water. This practice helps them learn how to handle unexpected situations if they fall into the water fully clothed.

Parent-Teacher Week | Aug 4-10

Additionally, instructors will be allocating the last 5 minutes of their classes to connect with parents. To make the most of this time, please:

  • Arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled end time of the lesson

  • Remove any outdoor shoes prior to entering the change rooms and pool deck

  • Enter the pool deck via the universal change room

Thank you, and we look forward to a fun and informative week!
