Intro to AI and Machine Learning
Program provided in partnership with Code Ninjas
In this camp, Ninjas explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) through hands-on tools, games, and interactive simulations. Using Google's Teachable Machine, they'll train their own AI models with image and voice recognition, then use them to control Scratch programs and a micro:bit circuit board. They'll also experiment with AI simulations like Quick Draw, Magic Sketch Pad, and Evolution.
To wrap up the camp, campers design and build their own AI project, choosing what it detects, how it learns, and what it does in response.
Along the way, campers are introduced to key AI concepts like machine learning, neural networks, decision trees, and pattern recognition, all explained in a kid-friendly, beginner-level way.
Camp Highlights:
- Learned about different types of AI tools, such as Google's Teachable Machine.
- Explored a variety of ways to teach AI, including text, speech, and images.
- Created interactive projects and games that respond to different input based on how the AI was trained.
- Seen and discussed the power of AI along with the ethical use of AI in real life.
- Had lots of fun!
Required Equipment: All necessary equipment will be provided. Please pack lunch, snacks and a water bottle.
