Attention Wildlife Defenders! This Sea Smart camp is the perfect opportunity for your kids to connect with nature like never before. Your budding nature expert will thrive at this active and educational outdoor summer camp. At Wildlife Defenders camp, your child will be immersed in the diversity of life inhabiting the Salish Sea region. Wildlife Defenders will learn about the vital connection between land, water and the climate through interactive lessons and creative activities that encourage curiosity and passion for nature. From exploring native freshwater ecosystems, to playing energetic and informative outdoor games, your child will leave Wildlife Defenders camp feeling inspired to take action and protect the environment!

Camp activities include:

• Creating artwork with nature
• Scavenger hunts by the lake and forest
• Identifying native freshwater critters and plants

Please Note: This camp is open to youth who identify as girls, trans, genderqueer, gender non-binary, Two-Spirit, and gender questioning. Sea Smart is working to close the gender gap in science-related fields! There is NO swimming during this camp. 

Required Equipment: Weather-appropriate clothing, hat and sunscreen, a change of clothes, closed-toed shoes that can get wet & muddy, clipboard, pencil case with art supplies (scissors, glue, pencil crayons, markers).

Lunch Details: Lunch food is not included with this camp. Please ensure your camper comes with a lunch, snacks (AM & PM) and enough water to be outside all day.
