Before entering an exam hall, we see stressed students trying to make the most of those 10 minutes to read their notes and cram last minute information.
Surprisingly, a better way to use that time is to move! Research suggests that stretching reduces your heart rate, helps alleviate anxiety and acts as a stress reliever. This also comes from some of the highest levels of evidence- meta-analyses of randomized control trials! All this to say that taking 5-10 minutes before an exam will help you reduce your stress levels and feel more confident.
This 6-minute routine will help you with grounding and light stretching, prior to taking an exam. It is designed to reduce stress and prepare you to succeed!
If you want to spend more time moving, feel free to check out other episodes of “Moves with the Move U Crew” which are streaming on Spotify and RedCircle or some of our prerecorded movement breaks!
