Softball – Women’s - Performance Camp

UBC Softball Recruit Showcase 2026:
Welcome to the Thunderbird College Softball Recruit Showcase! This event is designed to introduce rep high school softball players to an elite level softball showcase with Canada’s only NAIA Softball program. Head Coach Jennifer McKellar, Assistant Coaches, Rob Warburton Art Neufeld, Catrina Hedin and current players for the UBC Softball team will be on hand to evaluate and assess each player, and to provide players and parents the opportunity to learn more about the UBC Softball program.

UBC Softball’s approach to player assessment combines insights from technology and expert coaches to address all of the fundamental skills needed to be an elite softball player at the college level. Each participant will receive a ‘Player Dashboard’ with all their data emailed to them shortly after the completion of camp.
Our assessments will include the following:
Rapsodo® Hitting & Pitching evaluation
Blast® metrics
Video-based Exchange and Pop Time
Speed, Power, and Agility Assessment
Modified Game Action

Each participant is responsible for bringing their own equipment which includes but is not limited to: helmet, bat, glove, cleats, running shoes, water bottle, snacks. T-Shirts are included in this camp but participants are encouraged to dress athletically, which can include game attire or something similar.

*Any player born in 2009 who would like to register for camp is encouraged to reach out to Coach Jenn first (jennifer.mckellar@ubc.ca). By Sept. 30th, there is a high chance we will have very limited space left in our recruitment for that grad class and we want to be mindful of sharing that information before you sign-up (position specific).

Consent Form: Softball Consent
A digital copy of the consent form is completed during online registration. In-person or over the phone registration requires a paper copy be submitted prior to the first day of camp.
