Creative Jersey Contest 2025
This year’s Jersey Contest brought out the creativity, team spirit, and serious style from across our leagues! Over the term, teams rallied their most imaginative designers, grabbed their boldest colors, and showcased jerseys that were as unique as the players wearing them. From hand-painted masterpieces to cleverly crafted themes, the entries rolled in with impressive energy and originality. Let’s recap the fun!
Winter Break Reduced Hours & Closures
All UBC Recreation Sport Facilities will have adjusted hours from December 2025 to January 2026. We encourage guests to plan ahead when visiting our facilities.
Student Fitness Memberships Starting at $60
Winter (Jan-Apr) fitness memberships will be available for purchase on Dec 17 at 1pm.
Group Fitness | No Classes Dec 21 – Jan 4
No group fitness classes are scheduled from December 21, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
Rec North, SRC, & ARC | December Exam Hours
During the December exam period and subsequent winter break, there will be adjusted hours at each of Rec North, the SRC, and the ARC buildings.
Term 2 Locker Rentals at Rec North, ARC, & SRC
Term long locker rentals at Rec North will be available beginning January 2, 2026 both in-person and online. Please visit the front desk at the respective location of your desired locker to complete a rental request.
Competition Pool Maintenance | Nov 27
Guests of the UBC Aquatic Centre are to be advised that the competition pool will be closed from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 27 for maintenance.

Competition Pool Closure | Dec 5-7
The competition pool will be closed on Friday, December 5th through to Sunday, December 7th due to the 2025 VPSC Winter Invitational. Competition pool programming will be resumed on Monday, December 8th. Please check the schedule below for more information around programming.
